Splurge or Save ~ Pin Tucked Duvet & Shams

My Mani ~ You're Such a Budapest + Polka.com

Hi lovelies!  I must preface this mani by saying I totally copied Amy's from At The Pink Of Perfection.  Seriously, as soon as I saw it, I needed to recreate it.  So I did.

Both colors are from OPI's 2013 Euro Centrale collection, and are absolutely amazing.  'You're Such A Budapest' is a perfect lilac / periwinkle hybrid, and 'Polka.com' is a perfect glitter, with larger hexagonal and smaller micro glitter both in teal, magenta, and purple.    {Click to keep reading!}

My Outfit ~ How to Wear Sheer Tights

Hi lovelies, and Happy Friday!  This week (and spring thus far) has been crazy; 70 degrees one day, a foot of snow the next.  It's hard to think spring when getting dressed, while I'm still wearing layers and snow boots.  So when Hanes sent me some of their legwear to style, I figured that it was just what I needed!  {Click to keep reading!}

DIY ~ Coachella Flower Bracelet

Hi lovelies!  Ahhh spring is upon us and that can only mean one thing... music festivals!  Now while I am not into those (I'm the crazy punk girl that only does small venue shows), I know many of you are.  And with Coachella this weekend (I'm actually wishing I could go, only because the Descendents are playing and they are my fave band and put on a killer show!), I wanted to give you a quick and cute DIY!  This will go super cute with your flower crown, and I've got another DIY for you this afternoon that will go with it too!  {Click to read more and get the how-to!}

DIY ~ Emerald Bling Sailor's Knot Bracelet

Hi lovelies!  Maybe it's the New Englander in me, but there's something about these sailor's knot bracelets that I just love, it evokes feelings of summer in me just looking at it.  But being an adult, they just seem too plain for me now.  It wasn't until I spied these amazing neon gems that I knew what I wanted to do.  {Click for the how-to!}

Review: April Julep Maven Boho Glam Box ~ Unwrapped

Hi lovelies!  I've been meaning to share April's Julep Maven Boho Glam box with you!  If you're not familiar,  you take a quiz to determine your profile, and for $19.99 a month, you get nail polish (and beauty products!) from the higher end Julep brand (sold at Sephora), with a retail value of at least double (usually more than that!) {the polishes alone retail for $14 each}.  If you haven't, click on one of my links and sign up!  And right now, sign up and enter promo code FREEBOX and get your first box for free, just pay $3.99 shipping.  The best part is that they show you what you'll be getting each month, so you have a 5 day window to either switch to a different profile (there's 5!) or skip the month altogether and not be charged.  Brilliant!

This month's theme was 'Turn on The Brights' and it is one of my favorite boxes yet!  There was a stick of blue rock candy, but that didn't last...

DIY Nautical Hurricane Candle Holder

Hi lovelies!  I've been wanting to make this candle holder since I first saw the Nate Berkus for Target ones.  I instantly fell in love with it, but knew I could create the same thing for much less money.

You'll need:

  • A cylinder glass vase (got mine from the dollar store!)
  • Some rope (this is from Home Depot)
  • Some woven cotton trim, used for making belts (this is from the trims section at Joann's)
  • Two nailhead studs with prongs (these I used are old ones from M&J Trimming, and have a nautical feel to them)
  • Hot glue gun and glue sticks
  • Scissors

10 Ways to Wear a White T-Shirt

Hi lovelies!  It seems everyone loved my 5 pieces, 10 ways post last week, so I wanted to do something a bit similar, yet different.  I picked pieces that most of us have in our closet, in some color/silhouette or another.  And if there's one or two you don't have?  Well, everything here is under $50 so you don't have to forego paying rent!  I now give you 10 ways to wear a white t-shirt, featuring my favorite tshirt, the boyfriend v-neck tee from Target.

Top Row, L-R:
Skinny Jeans | Pencil Skirt, Blazer | Trousers, Cardi | A-Line Skirt, Scarf | Maxi Skirt

Bottom Row, L-R:
Cropped Pants | Shorts | Maxi Dress (wear the shirt knotted over it!) | Sequin Skirt, Moto Jacket | Boyfriend Jeans, Camo Jacket

What's your favorite way to wear a plain white t-shirt?

Speckled Nail Polish Comparison: Deborah Lippmann, Illamasqua, and Hard Candy

Hi lovelies!  I think we've all seen or at least heard of the new 'speckled' polishes.  It seems like they're being done at a few different price points, though not all.  And they are all done differently, so of course, I had to have one of each so I could do a thorough comparison.  (I apologize for the state of my cuticles!  They need some tlc!)  I'm wearing a color from Hard Candy's Sprinkles collection, Deborah Lippman's Staccato collection, and Illamasqua's Speckled collection.  {Click to keep reading!}

Spring Inspiration ~ Pastels Under $50

Hi lovelies!  Right now I'm super inspired by pastels; to me, nothing says spring like pastels!  I, oddly enough, don't have any in my closet!  I've been slowly adding some pastel love with jewelry DIYs (like these bobby pins, necklace/earrings, and bracelets).  Now I feel that accessories is the perfect (inexpensive!) way to incorporate a certain color or pattern into your wardrobe, but I've got my eye on a few pieces that would be perfectly at home in my closet!

Top row, L-R: Necklace | Flats | Dress | Skirt |
Middle Row, L-R: Tank | Socks | Sunnies | Sweatshirt
Bottom Row, L-R: Rings | Bracelet | Wrap Bracelet

Remember, if you've never signed up at BaubleBar (no commitment!), do so and get $10 off your first purchase!

How are you incorporating pastels into your wardrobe?
