10 Ways to Wear a White T-Shirt
Hi lovelies! It seems everyone loved my 5 pieces, 10 ways post last week, so I wanted to do something a bit similar, yet different. I picked pieces that most of us have in our closet, in some color/silhouette or another. And if there's one or two you don't have? Well, everything here is under $50 so you don't have to forego paying rent! I now give you 10 ways to wear a white t-shirt, featuring my favorite tshirt, the boyfriend v-neck tee from Target.
Top Row, L-R:
Skinny Jeans | Pencil Skirt, Blazer | Trousers, Cardi | A-Line Skirt, Scarf | Maxi Skirt
Bottom Row, L-R:
Cropped Pants | Shorts | Maxi Dress (wear the shirt knotted over it!) | Sequin Skirt, Moto Jacket | Boyfriend Jeans, Camo Jacket
What's your favorite way to wear a plain white t-shirt?

Old Navy Shirtdress, $20 (extra 30% off online with code THANKYOU)

DIY ~ 3.1 Phillip Lim Inspired Lips Sweatshirt
Hey lovelies! Today's DIY is such a fun one, and a bit tedious, but I swear I made it in about an hour, while watching the Patriots game this past Sunday. (Go Pats!) It's inspired by this rhinestoned 3.1 Phillip Lim beauty, but done with sequins I had on hand. {How to after the jump}

Neon + Neutral
Hello and Happy Friday, lovelies!!! Today's post is for the Bloggers Do It Better June outfit challenge to wear neons and neutrals. I had this super cute outfit planned out, but I got ready for the pool with the kids and realized hey! I'm wearing neon and neutral! So my Bella played photographer for me. I'm wearing my periwinkle ikat bikini from Target with my OP neon yellow cheetah print burnout coverup from Walmart. I'm going with the my skin is neutral philosophy here :)
What do you think of my pool-going look?

It's (Fashion) Friday...Everybody's Looking Forward to the Weekend
Ahhhh it's Friday!!! YAY! I love Fridays. The work week is almost done, the weekend is practically upon us, and we can wear pretty much whatever we want to work. Usually, everyone dresses down like a slob in jeans, dirty sneakers, and the cliche t-shirt. Yuck. I'll rock that, sure, if I'm doing yardwork or something like that. I try to still wear something I'd wear any other day, but maybe it's a bit more casual due to the fabric or something. So today I'm wearing this jersey maxi dress by OP from Walmart. It's one of my fave dresses right now, and I think I paid like $15 for it. Of course since it's strapless, I'm wearing a plain white cardi over it.
I've paired it with some Miss Trish of Capri sandals, turquoise jewelry, hot pink lips, and my awesome purple Eco nerd chic glasses. These are so rad, they are made of recycled materials, they plant a tree when you buy them, and they look great!
I never wear lipstick, but vowed to today. And I went all out. Why go with a safe and practical nude or rosy color when you can go over the top with a bright blueish pink? Done. I'm kinda lovin it and am going to go get more bright lipsticks :)

What are you up to this weekend? We are going camping tomorrow, so I am trying to come up with my lists now, so I can do all the shopping and gathering tonight. I am so excited!
Have a fabulous Friday, lovelies!!

Thrifting Haul
Last weekend I did some amazing thrifting. Here are my fashion scores I found, I'm super stoked! Now I just need to find more skirts, I guess I'll have to go to some more stores this weekend!
This blazer is unbelievable. I'm so in love with it, not quite sure about the shoulder pads, but I'm kinda liking them. It's so lightweight it's perfect for spring! $5.
I fell in love with the print on this blouse, it's pretty loud and bright and obnoxious, which is so me! It's a little matronly when I put it on. I may DIY something to it, I may leave it as it is. $4.
I thought this was so beautiful with the lace trim. It's rather dressy, which makes me want to instead wear it with jeans and flip flops :) I love wearing something in a more unexpected way. $4.
This beautiful silk Banana Republic tunic was only $6! It's in such perfect condition, I cannot wait to wear it!
I totally remember having tops like this in the 80s, so I needed to get this. I'm going to DIY it a little, probably cut out the neckline and cut the sleeves much shorter. $4.
This lovely white linen with lace trim blazer/tunic is so perfect for a light cover up at work or as a tunic with a cami under it for work. It was $3
How fun is this?! Hot pink linen blazer. $2. Nuff said.
This dress looks sooo much better on than it does on the hanger. It reminds me of the brown polka dot dress Julia Roberts wears in Pretty Woman. The silhouette is gorgeous on, kinda has a Mad Men vibe to it. I paid $6 for it.
I found these in the men's section {always look there!} and found these incredible vintage navy uniform dungarees. The rise is a little high and long, but they fit so perfectly throughout the leg that I'll wear them with longer tops. So amazing! And for $2.50, couldn't pass them up.
This vintage Carla Marchi bag still had it's tags attached! And I paid all of $5 for it!
I love the shape of the bag itself, but I hate the handle so a little DIY restoration is in order.
I really wanted a snakeskin clutch, so finding this vintage bad boy was beyond! And it was only $2!
I am such a sucker for vintage clutches, and this was no exception. I think I may jazz it up a bit with a little DIY action. $3
These bangles, one wooden and one lucite, were only $1 each.
This is my faaaavorite. It reminds me of rose gold. I paid $4 for it.
I am utterly obsessed with thrifting. It's so much fun, and the pieces you find are so unique and beautiful. Yes, it's a pain sifting through everything, but finding those hidden gems really makes up for it. Here, I got nearly a new wardrobe for less than the cost of a new pair of shoes. I'm thinking of branching out to some thrift shops farther away, because I'm ready for more amazing finds!

William Rast Inspired Grommet Sleeve Sweatshirt DIY
YAY! This is such a momentous occasion. I've finally finished a DIY and am posting it! I saw this William Rast shirt a while back and DIED.
I figured I could do something super similar and headed out to buy supplies. I got a Fruit of the Loom men's size medium dark gray sweatshirt from WalMart for $5 and then went to Hobby Lobby and found an eyelet kit and grabbed several packages of more 1/4" eyelets. Not realizing how many I needed, I didn't get enough and had to go back and get more. It would be cheaper and easier to buy them in bulk online, I HIGHLY suggest it!
Supplies needed:
~Sweatshirt
~Eyelets and anvil and hammer or eyelet pliers
~Measuring Tape
~Scissors
~Fabric pencil/chalk

Cut the sleeves off the sweatshirt at about elbow length. I saved them because I *may* want to add pockets in the front, like the William Rast one.
Measure out how far apart you want your grommets to be, I did mine 2" apart and staggered rows. Using your fabric pencil or chalk, mark the spot for the grommet.
Use your scissors and cut a small X for the grommet to go through. Make sure it's small enough that the whole grommet will not fit, but large enough for the little part to go through.
Either using the anvil and hammer or special grommet setting pliers, attach the grommets. Over and over and over :)
Here's one finished sleeve! I love the raw edges!
Final product! I also cut the neck line out. I have the strangest obsession where I need to cut the neck off of non-hooded sweatshirts. You could cut more of the neck off and make it more of a Flashdance style top!
With my kids' school closed today (the high today is like -4* and the wind chill is -24*) I am SO not going anywhere today...maybe I'll even finish one of the numerous DIYs in progress!!
