So this month's box contained as mentioned, 'Cleopatra', which they call a black latex, but it's a semi-matte finish to give it that latex / rubbery look.  Love.  I also received 'Valerie', a beautiful deep teal with a gold microglitter shimmer.  The beauty product this month was this genius dual ended kohl eye pencil (and sharpener!); black on one end, a shimmery brown on the other!  Brilliant!

Mani Monday ~ Faux Shiny Matte

My Julep Maven July Mystery Box ~ Unwrapped

Hi lovelies!  As you should know, I'm addicted to Julep Maven boxes, I receive and post them here monthly!  Now I normally skip out on their monthly-ish mystery boxes, where for $X you'll receive over $Y worth of product.  But this month was different.  There were 3 options.  Summer Days, Summer Nights, and Day & Night.  The first two were $25 and promised $70 - $200 worth of product.  Now the third, dubbed the Big Box, was $40 and promised $125 - $300 worth of product.  So I did what any sane nail polish addict would do and ordered the big box :)  Wanna see what I got?  Click to check it out!

Baby Blues ~ Nail Polish Dupes?

Hi lovelies!  When you're nail polish obsessed, you may notice that you have some very similar looking colors.  I first bought OPI Can't Find My Czechbook because it was such a beautiful color, unlike anything I had.  I then picked up Sally Hansen Blue-Away for the same reason, and noticed the eerie similarity.  Well I just got in my new Julep Maven box, and I had added on Something Blue.  Wait.  Hold the phone.  I have three of the same color?  No way.  So I swatched.  And breathed a deep sigh of relief.  They were similar as hell, but each different.

Now let's play a little game.  Can you match the bottle to the nail?  I mean, in the bottle, these three colors look fricken identical.  But on, they're clearly different.  One's super bright, one's deeper, and one's pastel.  {Click to see which is which!}

Hey lovelies!  I keep seeing such adorable pastel enamel bracelets in stores, and they are just so fun!  But given my nearly nonexistent budget now, I can't afford to spend.  I'm okay with this, because I just get more creative!  Given my recent pastel painted baubles, like the bobby pins or the necklace and earrings, I decided to raid my jewelry and found some plain bangles that would be perfect for a makeover.  {Click to read more!}

April Julep Maven Window Is Open!

Hi lovelies!  Ahhh yesterday was March 20, meaning the Julep Maven monthly window opens, where you can view the month's collection, see what's in your profile box and switch profiles or skip the month and not be charged.  (Brilliant, really, isn't it?)  Otherwise, you'll pay $19.99 for about $40+ worth of product!

This month's theme is 'Turn on the Brights' and the full sized beauty product we're receiving is this rad nail and cuticle serum pen, along with the polish colors (this totally depends on your profile).  There's also a Dry Clean dry shampoo, available as an add on or in the Modern Beauty box.  Here's the hard part: what do I order?  I'm a boho glam, so my colors this month are Kaylen and Lena (see all the colors, above).  I really love the colors, and think I'll be sticking with them.
