My Mani ~ Orange / Pink Gradient + The Pink Panel

Hi lovelies!  I've been dying to do a gradient mani for some time now, but the hardest part was picking colors!  I finally decided to do one of my favorite combos, bright pink and orange!  The only thing is it is messy!  Please forgive the stray polish, k?  {Click to keep reading!}

What you'll need:
  • Nail polish in your desired colors
  • Makeup sponge (don't go fancy, I got a pack of 32 at the dollar store)
  • Toothpick
  • Paper plate

So you can kind of see in the top pic how I did this.  I brushed some pink polish onto the plate, left an empty space, then brushed some orange polish.  I used the skewer to blend the two in the middle so the gradient would be more blended.  I then pressed the sponge into the color, and then pressed it onto my nails.  I ended up having to do it twice per nail to achieve good coverage, then I followed up with a topcoat.  My girl Bunnie did a great tutorial on B Sugar Coated, check it out (I only wish I could get mine to look as great as hers)!

So I have to tell you about The Pink Panel.  You all know how much I love beauty products!  The Pink Panel is a beauty product review and test panel that you can join to share your opinions and reviews on some of the newest products in the beauty industry.  Plus, it's free to join.  Panelists also can participate in contests and surveys and get rewarded with things like deluxe beauty samples, gift cards and product giveaways.  The Pink Panel wants more women to join who love testing free beauty products and getting access to new beauty brands and products.  Sounds great, right?

Even better?  Sign up now and be entered to win one of three $250 Sephora gift cards!  So how do you do that?  Easy!
  1. Go to The PinkPanel's Facebook page at www.thepinkpanel.com
  2. Click the JOIN icon
  3. Answer a couple questions (be sure to fill out that Smart n Snazzy sent you!)
  4. BAM!  Done.
Plus once you sign up you're eligible to start reviewing full-sized (or real deluxe sized) products too (not just one time use samples!)

Hope you liked this mani!  Any tips on an easier (less messy) gradient application?

Disclosure: I received this nail polish as well as 2 other beauty products from The Pink Panel & Brandbacker.  As always, all opinions are my own!
