M&J Trimming ~ Project DIY #MJProjectDIY

Hi lovelies!  As I'm sure you know, I *love* M&J Trimming.  I consider it my Mecca, although I've never been, I do hope to make a pilgrimage there one day!  (Anyone want to sponsor that trip? LOL!)  I was so excited to take part in the M&J Trimming Blogger Challenge recently, and of course was so stoked to hear about its launching of a monthly subscription box - Project DIY.  For $30 a month, you'll receive the supplies and tutorials to create 2-3 accessories inspired by the runway and current trends!  All the projects are created by a super talented team of designers at M&J Trimming.  I was lucky enough to receive the press kit for the inaugural box, themed 'Autumn in New York'.  {Click to keep reading!}

Each project comes with a project card as well as the overall theme card.  So cute, and the detail that goes into these is incredible.

On the reverse side of the card, it tells you exactly what pieces you'll need so it's easy to get started.  It also tells you the skills you're using/learning, the difficulty, and a time estimate!  Best of all, the materials are all bagged by project so you can easily determine what you're using for what.  To get the tutorial, you go online to the website for the detailed instructions.

After no time at all, I had made the gorgeous Equestrian Charm Necklace!  (How amazing is it?!)  The supplies are all of the highest quality and the instructions are really so simple.

What you'll also notice is the ruler on the card.  This may be my fave thing about the whole box!  It's so handy to not have to try to remember where I last left my measuring tape... speaking of... I have no idea where it is :-\.  So for this project, I used the box above the measurement marker to cut my pieces of cord.  So easy!

There was enough excess left to make an additional tassel out of the scraps, so that's where the multi-colored one comes from!  Luckily, the kit also includes spare jump rings, just in case.

So fun!  This hangs perfectly on my vintage cognac Michael Kors bag!

This bracelet was the most time consuming (not by much though) but may be my favorite.  I love the color of the metallic cord and the gold wire and hardware contrasts and compliments it perfectly.

The pieces are all so perfect and go with the theme amazingly well.  I can't wait to see what next month holds!

Now best yet, you can get 20% off your first box with the code MJDIY2, when you order Project DIY. Be sure to follow Project DIY on Instagram and Twitter, and don't forget to hashtag your finished projects with #MJProjectDIY for everyone to see!

Disclosure ~ I was sent this box for review, and I absolutely love it!  I wouldn't endorse or share things I don't personally use or love.  Thanks for supporting the sponsors that make Smart n Snazzy possible!
