DIY ~ One Direction Charm Bracelet

Hi lovelies!  So my daughter is a huge 1D fan (confession: I may like some of their songs too!), so I had to do a 1D DIY right?  She has been getting so many compliments on her bracelet, all her friends want to know where they can buy one, and she proudly tells them: "My mom made it for me!"  Want to see how I made it?  {Click for the how-to!}

You'll need:

  • Headphone charms (I found these at Walgreens on clearance, but you could easily print some images and adhere them to Mod Podge's podgeable shapes)
  • Dimensional Magic (mine has glitter, this is totally optional!)
  • 6" chain
  • Chain nose pliers (I used my bent ones, use whatever you prefer!)
  • Lobster clasp
  • Large jump ring
  • 2 smaller jump rings

Since I used these headphone charms, I first had to cut off the plastic clip thingys.

Now gently squeeze a small amount of Dimensional Magic onto the charm, starting in the center and using the tip to gently spread it around, ensuring the whole front is covered.

Repeat for the other charms, and let dry for at least a few hours.

Then flip them over and repeat for the back.

Cut the desired length of chain (how cool do the charms look?!) and figure out where you want to attach your charms.

Use your pliers to open the ring on the charm and attach it to the chain link.

Repeat for the others, then lay out your jump rings as shown above and attach them.

All done!  Alas, some were put on backwards but I kind of like it so I kept it!

Here's the other side!

I hope you love this idea, and if you use podgeable shapes, you could really use any image you'd like!  Use pics of your family or pets, or some rad graphic print... whatever you desire!  (And I totally won't judge you if you go the One Direction route either, promise!)
