DIY ~ Easy Chain Link Bracelet

Hi lovelies!  Today's DIY is an easy one.  We see the beautiful chunky chain link bracelets everywhere, but it seems hard to find the right chain to make one, amiright?  Rather than shell out too much on such a simple piece, buy the right chain and make a few instead! {Click for the how-to!}

You'll need:

  • Chain nose and needle nose jewelry pliers
  • 12 mm chain (I used this exact one from M&J Trimming!)
  • 2- 8mm jump rings
  • Lobster clasp

Measure out enough chain to go around your wrist without being too tight.  As you can see, I made mine 7.5" long.  Use your pliers to open the chain link to separate it from the rest of the strand.  This may be tough, remember to push one side and pull the other.  Keep at it, you'll get it eventually!

Attach a jump ring at either end, and add the lobster clasp to one of them.

That's it!  Super easy, right?  The key is finding a heavy enough chain that looks and feels like the kinds you'd find in stores.  While this chain is a bit more pricey than others, it's quite substantial and just one yard will make you 4 bracelets - enough for you and gifts for friends!
