My June Ipsy Glam Bag ~ Unwrapped

Hi lovelies!  I hope you all had a fabulous long weekend!  Today I'm finally sharing my June Ipsy Glam Bag!  If you haven't heard of Ipsy, it's similar to the other beauty subscription boxes, it costs only $10 a month, and you get a makeup bag too!  As you can see, this month's bag was designed by Rebecca Minkoff and features this adorable pineapple plant print - it really just may be my fave, like, ever.  {Click to see what was inside!}

Nicka K | Shimmer Eyeliner in Blue
You guys, I don't usually implore you to buy something.  But this is an absolute must-have.  You'll wonder how you lived prior to this liquid liner's permanent spot in your life.  And at only $4.99 a pop, you can buy each of the 14 colors.  You are welcome.

But seriously, this is one of the better liquid liners I own, better than ones 5 times its price.  The flexible tip of the brush is actually made of plastic rather than felt, which allows the formula to glide on so easily.  It stays put, all day long, even in the pool! The color is super pigmented and vibrant, and the shimmer is subtle and playful.  Such an amazing steal!

be a... bombshell | Lash Out Mascara
So apparently there were issues with the batch of mascara be a... bombshell sent to ipsy for the June bag.  (Read its statement, here.)  Apparently the company did testing and concluded (find that statement in the comments section) that although the mascaras had a strong smell (I can't pinpoint it, but it smells to me like burning brakes), they were completely safe.  So I figured I'd be a guinea pig and try it out anyways.  Yolo, right?

I'm so glad I did. This is an amazing mascara, and aside from that odor, it is flawless.  My lashes looked longer and thicker after just ONE coat.  That's huge.  Personally, I don't care if it smells nasty, as long as it works!  I've been using it nonstop and have had zero negative issues with it.  I've even been wearing it instead of my go-to Benefit's They're Real!.  That's kind of a big deal.

Carol's Daughter | Sacred Tiare Styling Cream
I prefer to air dry my thick wavy/curly hair to keep those natural waves/curls looking good.  So a good styling cream is a must.  My hair looked great after it dried, wasn't crunchy or anything, and actually looked like I'd styled it.  I love products that really make you look like you did something, but didn't.  It's the lazy girls' must have hair product!  Love this!

Clarisea Sea Salt Solutions | Rapid Detox Charcoal Exfoliant
When I get a new beauty product, I'm totally one to open it right away and smell it/check its consistency.  I don't know, it's a subconscious habit I have.  I do the same with markers too.  I digress.  When I opened this container, the salt granules spilled - they were dry!  I thought for sure this was a dud.  But I read the instructions which said to mix a few drops of water to a small amount in your hands.  So I did, and rubbed my face.  Whew!  This stuff really removed all the nasty crap from my skin and I was freaking glowing.  I didn't find it harsh or abrasive; but then again I do have a masochistic approach to skin care at times.  All said, this stuff works wonders!

NYX | Butter Gloss in Apple Streudel
Sometimes I just run out of superlatives.  I'm already such a fan of NYX's products, and this gloss is friggen amazing.  It's the perfect neutral but not neutral, it's super flattering, and the consistency is great - it just sinks in to your lips.

All in all, this is one of the best Ipsy Glam Bags I've received, ever.  Each product was amazing, worked great, and was easy!  What I love most about this month's bag is that it's perfect for a low-maintenance yet high-impact look.  I've found that I've been using all these products at once, pretty much every day.  If that doesn't say something then I don't know what does!
