DIY ~ Jewelmint Zocalo Inspired Bracelet

Hi lovelies!  I've had this Jewelmint Zocalo Bracelet on my To-DIY list for a while now, and I finally made it! Yay!  {Click for the how-to!}

You'll need:

  • 2 colors of embroidery floss
  • Embroidery needle
  • Ribbon crimp ends
  • 2 medium jump rings
  • 1 large jump ring
  • 1 lobster clasp
  • Rhinestone trim
  • Chain trim
  • Jewelry pliers
  • Cutters
  • Scissors
  • Super glue

Begin by making a chevron friendship bracelet.  I made mine 12 strands wide (6 and 6).  Cut off the ends.

Squeeze a bit of super glue into the ribbon crimp end, and stuff each bracelet end into one.  Squeeze closed with your pliers.

Cut a  length of rhinestone trim to center on your bracelet.  Sew it on.

Then cut a length of chain similar to that of the rhinestone trim, and sew it just below.

Finally, sew some more chain along the entire bottom of the bracelet, scalloping it as shown.

Attach jump rings and your closure to the ends, and you're done!

I really love the mixed materials and metals of this bracelet.  It's so easy to customize by changing the bracelet colors, using different colored chain, or even painting the rhinestones!
