Back To School DIY ~ Washi Tape Pencils

Happy Monday, lovelies!  Depending on where you live, you may be dealing with back to school time for the kiddos (or for you!)  Even if you're not going back to school, let's jazz up some of those plain pencils you've got on your desk.  I know my kids each needed something like 50 pencils each (they went back to school last week).  I thought about how boring they were, I mean, my son doesn't care, but my daughter is now in 7th grade so we have to spice up hers, right?  {Click to keep reading!}

Rip off a piece of washi tape long enough to cover the wooden part of the pencil.

Gently slide the strip of tape under the pencil, trying to keep it straight.

Repeat with a second piece, since the washi tape isn't wide enough to cover the whole pencil.

Now sharpen it!  Looks fab doesn't it?

Repeat for the rest of your pencils!  At this time of year, so many stores have doorbusters on pencils, I think I picked this pack up for 25 cents, so you can really save tons of money!  I hope this inspires you to get a little more creative with your back to school supplies, and stay tuned all week for more fun back to school DIYs!
