DIY ~ Kate Spade Inspired Splatter Jewel Studs

Hey lovelies!  Ahh the week is almost over, and I've got just the DIY for you to tackle this weekend!  Inspired by these adorable Kate Spade Splatter Jewel Earrings that cost $68, I knew I could make them for less.  Sidenote, don't they also remind you of the Carrie purse from The Carrie Diaries?  Love it.  {How to after the jump}

You'll need: Nail dotting tool (or a toothpick if you don't have one!), bright yellow and bright pink nail polishes (I used Orly Nail Lacquer in Glowstick and Beach Cruiser), and finally some large CZ studs (these are from Target and cost $13)

Use your dotting tool and get a little bit of polish on it and draw your shape.  I did a big streak and a few smaller dots on each earring.  I also did two coats of polish to deepen the color.

This was after one coat of pink.

And here they are, after two coats of each pink and yellow.

Done!  How cute and easy are these?  They took about 10 minutes, and cost $13 to make, a $55 savings!  Now get out those rhinestone studs and splatter them!

xx
