DIY ~ Kate Spade City Lights Bracelet

Hiya lovelies!  I posted a teaser pic of this bracelet earlier today, and some of you may have seen the inspiration I pinned on pinterest too.  Well, here it is!

And the inspiration... I loved it when I saw it, but didn't realize the DIY potential until I saw that the bracelet was partially made of paper!

{More after the jump}

So, here's how I made it, using blurry lights pictures I printed out from online...

And here's how I wore it today...

It's such a gorgeous, statement piece!  The best thing is that it does not look like it's made of a cardboard spool!  The key is to use the glossy mod podge as well as the metallic paint, and to apply both generously.  Also having a thick, heavy-weight cardboard spool helps too.  I literally spent nothing to make this bracelet, making it a $128, 100%, savings by DIYing it!  This would look great with an LBD for a holiday party, or worn for work like I did.  I hope you love this DIY!
