My June Beauty Box 5 ~ Unwrapped

Hi lovelies!  Today I'm sharing my June Beauty Box 5 with you. Not familiar? Beauty Box 5 is a monthly subscription service that delivers 5 cosmetic samples to your door for only $12 a month. {Click to see what I got!}

This month's theme was 'Summer Chic' and was all about products with a less effort, more cool vibe.

Organix | Coconut Water Shampoo & Conditioner
I really was excited to try this hydrating duo, and I really want to say I loved it... but it really did nothing for my parched strands.  In fact, my hair was so tangled and knotty (still!) that I had to use a ton of detangling leave-in conditioner, followed by cream and oil to rehydrate my strands.  Maybe if this was made with coconut oil and not coconut water it would be more hydrating?  Just a thought... Nevertheless, I'm glad I got the opportunity to try this out because I would totally have bought this thinking that it would be a miracle product had I seen it in the stores.

Nicka K New York | Nail Color in Red Hot
I love this color, it's like a candy apple red.  You know, that deep yet bright red?  It's super glossy on too.  I achieved full coverage with just one coat, but still applied a second coat just in case.  I really love the design of the bottle, it's so different yet the long curved-ish cap really allows you to get a good hold for painting.

Vita Bath | Body Wash in Wild Red Cherry
Oh my gosh this stuff smells soooooo good.  Like mouthwatering good.  It gets a great lather going, and it's sulfate and paraben free, too!

Glam Natural | Mascara
I've never heard of this brand before so this was a new-to-me product and brand.  This mascara is specially formulated for those with sensitive eyes and is vegan, gluten-free, paraben-free, and is hypoallergenic. Yes!  Now the first thing I noticed is how liquid-y it is.  Compared to the popular thick formulas I'm used to, I was a bit nervous.  If anything, it reminded me of mascara from when I was in high school.  But this certainly isn't the mascara of yesteryear.  It glided on smoothly and effortlessly, did not clump at all and lengthened and curled my lashes.  One coat was all I needed!  This is a great mascara - you must try it!

Eslor | Introductory Collection Calming Kit
I think I've said before how I hate foil packets.  Well, I do.  But I used these to give it a shot, I figured why not.  I first used the Soothing Refiner & Cleanser, followed by the Replenishing Scrub.  A few minutes later I applied the Comforting Mask and once that was rinsed off I applied the Soothing Cream.  My skin felt soft, clean, clear, and more youthful.  I can't attest to the results over time, but with just one use (as that's all I could get!) I was definitely pleased.  The formulas are light, the scrub had natural exfoliants (seemed to be raspberry seeds or something like that?), and I liked that the products all were rather gentle.

Now I've gotta share the love, right?  You're all my friends :)  There were a bunch of these cards to give out (I figured I'd e-give them out) to get your first box FREE with code FREE614.  Now hurry and do it quick, the code expires on 6.30.14!

So that's my June Beauty Box 5! Are you a subscriber? On the fence? Click the link to sign up and give it a shot, it's free after all!
