My October Birchbox ~ Unwrapped

Hi lovelies!  It's time to share my monthly Birchbox unwrapping with you!  If you're not familiar, subscribe to Birchbox for only $10 a month and get handpicked beauty and lifestyle samples delivered to your door free!  {Click to see what I got!}

This month's theme was 'Beauty Buzz', with a box devoted to award winners, celeb faves, and all the other products Birchbox staffers are obsessed with.

POP Beauty | Aqua Laquer in Flowering Fuchsia
I really like this lip gloss, I was so surprised that it wasn't a traditional tube lip gloss applicator and that instead it's a more precise spatula!  I absolutely love the application and the gloss is a fun, bright yet sheer wearable color.  It has a pleasant smell to it, is very moisturizing and best of all it plumps too!

Alison Rafaele | Reality Base Foundation in skintone 3
I normally wear a BB or CC cream, and when I want more coverage I opt for my favorite MUFE HD foundation.  I tried this sample and surprisingly the color sent was a perfect match for my skin!  I mean, that never happens!  It has a nice wear to it and is a great lightweight foundation.  I do prefer a BB cream to this though, but this is a great foundation to try out.

Chapstick Hydration Lock
This was my 'Birchbox Find', an extra to the normal box contents.  I absolutely love it, as living in such a dry climate requires thousands of lip moisturization touch ups throughout the day.

Liz Earle | Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser
Liz Earle | Pure Muslin Cloth
These were listed as two separate pieces but did come in the same little box, which is pretty cute.  This is a great way to gently cleanse and exfoliate skin as you massage the cleanser into your skin and then rinse it off by massaging with the muslin cloth.  I think it's great for nights, when you generally have more time to spend on your skin, and the gentle muslin cloth is great for a daily use as opposed to harsh exfoliators which should be used far less frequently.

In all, I was pleased with October's Birchbox and am really loving the lip products especially.  What was in your Birchbox?
