DIY ~ Pyramid Stud Wall Decor
Hi lovelies! I feel as though my condo is in an ever-changing state of decorating. I'm constantly reassessing what I've done and what I can still do to further incorporate my glam mountain resort condo theme I've chosen. I have this empty space above my desk that is the backside of the kitchen (is it bad that I use my dining room as my crafting room rather than it's intended use?) which I've struggled with for years. I hung some foam core board to use as my inspiration board, but the plain spot of wall between that and the ceiling has perplexed me.
I finally had a brainblast (Jimmy Neutron fans? Anyone?) and thought that I wish I could just put some huge pyramid studs up there. So I hit my recycling bin, dug out some cardboard, and got to work. {Click to keep reading, and to see how I made these!}

DIY ~ Pearl n Crystal Stud Earrings
Hi lovelies! This DIY I had originally intended to go up before the holidays, but the hustle and bustle prevented me from doing so. These earrings are so fun and easy to make, I made pairs for my bf's sisters! While I had all the supplies on hand, they are extremely easy to find/order should you need to do so, and with the leftovers you'll be able to put them to good use! {How-to after the break!}

DIY ~ Studded Satin Cord Cobra Bracelets
Hi lovelies! Long overdue, I have a new DIY for you! If you remember wayyyy back in the day, I did 30 days of DIY and on the 30th day, I made cobra bracelets from brightly colored rope. I'm still a huge fan of this knot, but decided to glam it up a bit this time by using satin cord and studs! {Keep reading for the how-to!}

My Mani ~ DIY Kate Spade F/W 2013 NYFW Studded Manicure
Hi lovelies! I've shared some sneak peeks on Instagram of this manicure, I'm soooo excited for it! (You are following me on Instagram, right?) I loved this Deborah Lippmann mani when I saw all the pics of it from Kate Spade's show at fashion week; The Budget Babe posted some incredible pics and I knew I had to recreate it! (Loving my chic Cynthia Rowley band-aid?) {Get the how to after the jump}

DIY Jennifer Behr Leather Dinosaur Studded Headband
Hi Lovelies! It's been awhile, but I've got a fabulous DIY for you! I saw the headband above in People Style Watch and fell in LOVE with it. But, there's no way I'd shell out $162 for a headband, especially one I could make with things I have on hand. {More after the break}

MonDIY ~ DIY Dannijo Inspired Studded Stingray Cuff Bracelet
Hey lovelies! I'm playing catch up on blogging after a crazy weekend! I've got lots more goodies coming your way soon, so make sure you're following!
I just finished up my weekly post over on Fashions Blogs, and I think you'll really love it! I used the same unorthodox material as I did for my Kate Spade City Lights Inspired Bracelet. This time though, I made the Dannijo Studded Stingray Cuff Inspired Bracelet. The Dannijo version, now on sale, will set you back $203. Mine cost nothing, using stuff I already had on hand. Here's what it looks like:

MonDIY ~ DIY Studded Collar and Cuffs on Fashions Blogs
Hiya lovelies! I hope you had a fabulous weekend! Mine was great, albeit busy, and I really am unsure where it went. We got snow every day for the last three days here in Denver, and I must admit I'm over winter already.
I took Bella out to lunch and then to the mall on Saturday, and she got her ears pierced! I cannot believe how much she's growing up. There's a pic, below :)
As for today's DIY, I studded the collar and cuffs of a plain white button down shirt, so that when it's layered under a sweater it gives that extra dose of chicness. Head on over to Fashions Blogs for my tutorial.
What do you think? The sweater is from the boys department at Target, a tip from Mandy of In The Fashion Lane. I saw her in this sweater and I needed it!
Bella got her birthstone, a sapphire, for her studs. So precious!
If there's anything you'd like to see me make, please let me know! In the meantime, head over to Fashions Blogs and show me some love!

DIY ~ Refashioned Pretty & Punk Shoes
Hello lovelies! I was so thrilled to get so many fabulous DIY suggestions last week (post here), and both Megan of The Frugalista Diaries and Alicia from Fashion by Alicia suggested I do something to an old pair of shoes. Well I had just the shoes, and just the supplies! It fits in perfectly with the challenge Natasha from Required 2 Be Inspired and Kimberly from A Little Bit of This are hosting for the month of October: Old to New in October. As Natasha explains, "The idea behind Old to New in October is to take something old from your closet and refashion it to something new and fabulous!" Is that a killer idea and just right up my alley or what?! So let's get started on this easy and fabulous DIY!
- Old shoes that you are ready to part with
- Lace ribbon (this is vintage, I got it at the thrift store)
- Liquid Stitch
- Studs (these are from a contest I won from M&J Trimming)
- Scissors
Use the lace ribbon and wrap it around the shoe, folding/overlapping where needed (where the shoe curves) and cut the lace.
Figure out how you want the studs on the lace, and use jewelry pliers to bend the prongs around the lace.
Now you have your studded lace trim! Time to apply it!
Apply about 2 inches of liquid stitch to your shoe and then put your studded lace over the glue, pressing firmly (your fingers will get messy, so get over it). When the shoe begins to turn, you will need to snip a notch in the lace at the top and fold it over itself so that the trim still lines up nicely at the top.
Side is done :) I let it dry for a little while before I moved to another part of the shoe so the lace didn't move. You could also use some clips to hold the lace to the shoe instead of waiting. Hindsight :)
Finish the shoe, and then repeat the whole fabulous process for the other shoe. Let dry for 24 hours.
Finished product! I'm kinda loving them. They are an absolutely unique pair of shoes, and best of all, cost nothing!
Do you love this upgrade? I have so many ideas on other shoe upgrades now! Can't wait to get them going!
xoxo

30 Days of DIY: Day 10 ~ Studded Knit Belt
If you're anything like me, those shirts that come with the attached belt out of the same material disgust you and you immediately remove them. Well, I do at least. I have a drawer I throw them into because I have such a hard time throwing anything away, especially something that can be repurposed!
Materials:
Vintage studs! Love!
Take the nailhead and push it through the desired spot on the belt.
You will have the five pointy ends on the reverse side.
I chose to leave about 6 inches or so on each end before I started studding. Here's what it looks like after one.
I spread them out by about 2-3 inches or so. Here's three....
And the finished product!
Now, cinch anything with it, here I'm modeling an oversized t-shirt I've been bumming around in.
So versatile...you can tie it behind your neck and it's a funky necklace! (JT says it could be a scarf too.)
Or wrap it around your wrist and tie it and it's a statement cuff bracelet.
I love repurposing something into something bigger and better! I hope this inspires you to think the same. Try this out, and send pics if you do!
