Hey lovelies! Today's DIY is such a fun one, and a bit tedious, but I swear I made it in about an hour, while watching the Patriots game this past Sunday. (Go Pats!) It's inspired by this rhinestoned 3.1 Phillip Lim beauty, but done with sequins I had on hand. {How to after the jump}

Christmas DIYs From the Past
Hey lovelies! We were welcomed with some much needed snow here in Denver today, so I thought I would share with you all some fun, easy, and beautiful Christmas DIYs for you to do! These are all from last year, so they're oldies but goodies! And if you didn't catch them last year, they're new to you! These are great for some last minute decorations, or even better as gifts! I love hanging an ornament on the ribbon of a gift, as an extra gift. {More after the jump}

How I Wear Sequins
Well it's that time again, another BDIB challenge. This time we are showing how we wear sequins. I bought this matte sequined top at H&M, and here's how I wore it. I wore this to work yesterday; please bear in mind that we have a casual dress code at my office :)
Lipstick: Kat Von D Foiled Love in FTW; Earrings: Jewelmint
So there sure are a ton of ways to wear sequins, and I'm sure all the other ladies did fabulously as well! I wanted to show a completely different look with this top and love it; it's very me. I wanted to dress it way down and wear it like I would a plain t-shirt. How would you style this for a casual look?

MonDIY ~ DIY Prada Inspired Paillette Ornaments
Hiya lovelies! Ahhh it's Monday (sigh) and the long weekend is behind us. I spent a lot of the time crafting, and the fruits of my labor are revealed! Inspired by the abundance of paillettes gracing Prada's looks, these may be my favorite ornaments ever! I decided to go super girly this year, getting a white tree and adorning it in fuschia, teal, purple, and lime green. It's not done yet, so please stay with me this week, and I'll show you how to make some knock out ornaments! {More after the jump}

DIY: M Z Wallace Inspired Striped and Sequined Canvas Tote
When I saw this M Z Wallace bag in the June People Style Watch, I died. I wanted and *needed* it so badly. But I knew that it was something I could easily DIY....
I got a large canvas tote at Joann's for $4 and 3 yards of 1.5 inch wide stretch sequin trim, at $5 a yard. I had Liquid Stitch on hand, and the only other thing I needed was tape and scissors. Before you cut the trim, wrap tape around the area to be cut first. This helps hold everything in place. I've never sewn sequins before, by hand or machine, and I did not want to ruin the trim so I decided to use Liquid Stitch instead, and it's worked perfectly!I applied the Liquid Stitch in a zig zag fashion, since this is elastic and out of habit I felt it would allow for more 'give' this way. I wrapped the trim around, making a band that went all the way around the bag. Repeating this twice more and the bag was complete! (Let it dry overnight!)
And here's the finished product! I had only let it dry for a couple hours and didn't want to ruin it, so I didn't really open it up and put stuff in it to style it more like the M Z Wallace one. But, for a fraction of the cost, I think my creation is pretty spot on!
